Black Forest Lab's has finally released the open-weights version of its Flux.1 Kontext suit of image models, Flux.1 Kontext Dev.

Black Forest Labs (BFL) has finally released Flux.1 Kontext Dev, the open-weights model and developer version of Flux.1 Kontex Pro.

This is a big deal for the AI community because some of the latest and biggest image models out there, like Google’s Imagen 4, OpenAI’s GPT-Image-1, and Midjourney V7, are all closed source. Having a model with open weights openly accessible is important to technological innovation.
