Black Forest Labs (BFL) has finally released Flux.1 Kontext Dev, the open-weights model and developer version of Flux.1 Kontex Pro.
This is a big deal for the AI community because some of the latest and biggest image models out there, like Google’s Imagen 4, OpenAI’s GPT-Image-1, and Midjourney V7, are all closed source. Having a model with open weights openly accessible is important to technological innovation.
