Yesterday, I was scrolling through my Instagram Reels feed when I started seeing these oddly satisfying videos. A strawberry made of glass is getting sliced clean with a knife. A soft gold bar getting cut in slow motion. The sound was weirdly satisfying. You could hear the crunch of glass, the scrape of metal, the deep thump when the knife hit the board.
These videos had millions of views, thousands of likes, and tons of comments. That’s when I paused for a moment. As someone who’s been working and experimenting with AI video generators, something felt off.
Some TikTok accounts now have hundreds of thousands of followers with only a few videos of these slicing ASMR videos.
I did a quick Google check, and it turns out they were generated by AI. They were all made using Google’s new video model called Veo 3.
