OpenAI Releases Atlas — A Browser with ChatGPT

Google was released 17 years ago. For almost two decades, the tech giant has monopolized the search market because not a single company has ever made a browser or search engine that can challenge Google.

Today, that changes.

Atlas is an AI-powered web browser built on Chromium with ChatGPT built right in. It brings ChatGPT to every page you visit, helping you research, summarize information, and automate tasks without switching tabs.

Atlas includes a built-in memory that can remember your past chats, research, and browsing context, allowing it to continue conversations and recall details when needed. It also supports Agent Mode, letting ChatGPT perform tasks like collecting data, planning events, and analyzing information in real time.

Browser memories are optional, and users can view or delete them anytime.

Atlas Installation

To get started with Atlas, head over to the ChatGPT Atlas page and download the installer for MacOS.
